Pressure Washing, Power Washing or Pressure Cleaning what do you call it?

Do you call it pressure washing, pressure cleaning or power washing? Good question! I have been in the Pressure Washing business in the Orlando Central Florida area since 1991. I've had customers call it pressure washing, pressure cleaning or power washing.

I prefer to call it pressure cleaning since you should be using proper detergents and chemicals that are compatible with the surfaces that you are cleaning. I try to use as little pressure as possible so not to do any damage...let the detergents do the work. A proper cleaning process may also require heat. Some people call it power washing. I don't like that term because it sounds too damaging or destructive. A pressure washer in the wrong hands can do alot of damage. Pressure washing is a good term also.

But, they all mean the same thing. What you are trying to accomplish is to restore a surface to it's original clean condition. That's why it's important to choose a reputable and experienced contractor to achieve these results. The economy has flooded the pressure cleaning industry with many inexperienced, uninsured fly-by-nights. Be careful, do your research, and don't be afraid to ask questions. It is always a good idea to get a couple estimates and remember the lowest price is not always the best value for your dollar.
